Teams from the JRA have been seen actively patching numerous potholes on 4th Avenue, as well as on roads leading to and from Verity Park, a popular green space for families and dog walkers. This targeted approach follows numerous complaints from the community regarding vehicle damage and pedestrian safety hazards caused by the uneven road surfaces. Ward 117 Councillor Tim Truluck commended the JRA's responsiveness. "We've been actively engaging with the JRA to prioritise Parkhurst's roads, especially 4th Avenue, which is central to our local economy and community life," Councillor Truluck stated. "It's encouraging to see these tangible improvements. While there's always more work to be done across the ward, this concentrated effort in Parkhurst is a significant step forward and demonstrates that persistent community advocacy does yield results."
